This page is used to organize notes in one place. Notes are arranged in folders that are part of the tree structure (+ Expand, - Collapse). The tree structure in question can be found in the left-hand part of the page. If you click on one of the folders, its contents will appear on the screen. At the top of the page, you can find the name of the folder you that you are currently in. There are four buttons beneath it:

 

Add
note

You can add a note to a specific folder by clicking on this button. Proceed as follows:

1. Enter the name of a given note.

2. Set access rights to it:

  • Private - It can be viewed only by the administrator that created it and by the Master admin.
  • Group - It can be viewed by the administrator that created it and by all administrators in the chosen group.
  • Public - It can be viewed by all administrators.

3. Select who is authorized to edit this note:

  • Author only - It can be edited only by the author.
  • Master admin - It can be edited by the author as well as by the Master admin.
  • All - It can be edited by everyone.


4. You can move the note to another folder (the Move to the folder drop-down menu).

5. Create the note itself with the help of the built-in editor TinyMCE - manual here.

6. Add attachments, if any. Any number of attachments can be added to the note. There is, however, a size limit on them. This limit is specified in the server configuration.

Add folder You can create a new folder by clicking on this button. Enter its name, select its parent folder and set access rights to it (Public x Private folder). A public folder is visible to all administrators. A private folder is visible to the author and the Masteradmin only. In the overview, it is marked in orange.
Edit folder You can edit a specific folder by clicking on this button. You may change its name, move it to another folder or modify access rights to it (Public x Private folder).
Delete folder You can delete a specific folder by clicking on this button.

 

Overview of notes

 

The overview itself provides the following information:

 

  • Information about whether access to a particular note is restricted or not. Public notes are marked in green. Notes with restricted access are marked in orange.
  • Note name
  • Note author
  • The date when a particular note was created/edited

 

Apart from these details, there are the following four icons:
